Synagogue construite par l'architecte Hector Guimard pour l'association Agoudas Hakehilos, issue de neuf sociétés israélites orthodoxes d'origine essentiellement russe, présidée par Joseph Landau. La construction, qui s'échelonne d'avril 1913 à juin 1914, est en pierres agglomérées creuses sur armature en béton armé. Synagogue built by the architect Hector Guimard for the association Agoudas Hakehilos, formed from nine orthodox Jewish societies of essentially Russian origin, presided over by Joseph Landau. The construction, which took place from April 1913 to June 1914, is in hollow aggregate stones on a reinforced concrete frame. The fixtures (lights around the bima and the hamoud, chandeliers, appliques and benches) as well as the stylised vegetable decoration in staff and the cast-iron railings (taken from the catalogue of the Fonderies de Saint-Dizier), are also creations of Hector Guimard. The only religious building by this architect, it presents a homogeneous and high-quality decoration.
