Hôtel bâti dans l'île Saint-Louis en 1637-1640 par Sébastien Bruand (père de Libéral Bruand) pour Jean Charron, trésorier général de l'Extraordinaire des guerres en Picardie. Les peintres Ernest Meissonnier et Emile Bernard y eurent leur atelier. Presque tous les appartements sont dotés de plafonds à la française décorés de peintures de grande qualité de la seconde moitié du 17e ou du début du 18e siècle.

History
Hôtel built on the Île Saint-Louis in 1637-1640 by Sébastien Bruand (father of Libéral Bruand) for Jean Charron, general treasurer of the Extraordinary of wars in Picardy. The painters Ernest Meissonnier and Emile Bernard had their studios there. Nearly all the apartments are furnished with French ceilings decorated with paintings of high quality from the second half of the 17th or early 18th century.
