Historique
La boulangerie occupe le rez-de-chaussée d'un immeuble qui date du 17e siècle mais qui a été complètement restauré et n'offre aucun intérêt. Une boulangerie aurait existé à cet emplacement dès la fin du 17e siècle. Le décor est d'une grande qualité ; il provient du célèbre atelier de décoration Benoist et Fils spécialisé dans le décor des magasins d'alimentation (1885-1936) ; l'installateur est Ripoche. La façade de la boutique se compose d'un coffrage de bois très simple, mouluré et décoré par quatre toiles peintes fixées sous verre : une inscription - un paysage (moulin) , une semeuse et un moissonneur (ce panneau a été refait). L'intérieur est entièrement décoré dans ses parties hautes de toiles peintes fixées sous verre. Le plafond se compose d'un grand ciel délimité par un feston ; il rappelle un plafond de Watteau. Ce thème est très fréquent dans l'atelier Benoist ; aux angles, les quatre saisons sont représentées par des paysages... Deux autres fixés représentent la moisson et les semailles. Les corniches sont ornées de guirlandes de fleurs : anémones - roses - lilas. L'ensemble de ce décor est très caractéristique de l'atelier de Benoist. Le mobilier ancien subsiste : une caisse et deux dessertes de marbre.
