History
Battery platform, with underground galleries distributed over one hectare in the forest, used during the First World War for a German 380 cannon which bombarded Belfort between February and October 1916. The cannon, an enormous beast of steel, cast by Krupp, no longer exists and the platform, despite maintenance work in 1924, is in poor condition. This is the first protection under the title of Historic Monuments of a work of the 20th century.
