Monument en marbre gris, de six mètres de haut, élevé à l'instigation de l'industriel de la potasse, Joseph Vogt, en témoignage de sa reconnaissance, son usine (une fonderie) et son village étant sortis indemnes de la Grande Guerre. Après une commande passée au sculpteur Emile-Antoine Bourdelle en 1920, le monument est réalisé en 1922 et mis en place, sur un socle en granit dessiné par le sculpteur, en 1923.

History
Monument in grey marble, six metres high, erected at the instigation of the potash industrialist, Joseph Vogt, in testimony of his gratitude, his factory (a foundry) and his village having emerged unscathed from the First World War. Following a commission given to the sculptor Emile-Antoine Bourdelle in 1920, the monument was realized in 1922 and put in place, on a granite base designed by the sculptor, in 1923.
