History
This building is an interesting timber-framing construction, situated in the picturesque quarter of the church of Saint-Martin and in the immediate proximity of the beautiful Renaissance house where the agency of the Bâtiments de France is located. The repointing work started by the German Service of Historic Monuments revealed an interesting timber framing and a beautiful gallery on the third storey, under the gable which crowns the façade on the rue des Marchands. The central post of this gallery bears the date 1588 which is probably the date of construction.
