Wasserturm construite de 1906 à 1907 par Behr, ingénieur du Meliorationsamt détaché à Sélestat. La tour du château d'eau, d'une hauteur de 48 mètres, est réalisée en maçonnerie et soutient un réservoir en tôle rivetée de 500 mètres cubes. L'ouvrage aurait été exécuté d'après le modèle d'un château d'eau construit en 1893 à Deventer, en Hollande. Son architecture s'inspire du style néo-roman avec un revêtement de briques jaunes et rouges. History
Wasserturm constructed from 1906 to 1907 by Behr, engineer of the Meliorationsamt seconded to Sélestat. The water tower, with a height of 48 metres, is constructed in masonry and supports a riveted sheet-metal reservoir of 500 cubic metres. The structure was reportedly executed according to the model of a water tower built in 1893 at Deventer, in Holland. Its architecture is inspired by the neo-Romanesque style with a cladding of yellow and red bricks. The imperial eagle of the Hohenzollerns that surmounted the conical roof was replaced by a Gallic cock in 1918.
