Les premiers bâtiments construits datent de la deuxième moitié du 12e siècle (chapelle de la Croix, bibliothèque, chapelle des Larmes et chapelle des Anges, restaurée aux 17e et 19e siècles). Les bâtiments conventuels de l'aile est sont de 1683, ceux des ailes nord et ouest du début 18e siècle (1704) , restaurés au 20e siècle. La fondation de l'église conventuelle remonte au 8e siècle ; elle a été reconstruite aux 11e et 12e siècles, restaurée au 15e siècle, reconstruite au 17e siècle (de 1687 à 1696 après un incendie) et 18e siècle (façade ouest de 1719) ; en 1924 : clocher, tourelle d'escalier et statue de Sainte-Odile. Le mont Sainte-Odile est un lieu de pélerinage et de mémoire ; il est établi au centre de l'enceinte d'un mur païen et comporte un ensemble de constructions édifiées du 8e au 20e siècle.

History
The earliest buildings constructed date from the second half of the 12th century (Chapel of the Cross, library, Chapel of Tears and Chapel of Angels, restored in the 17th and 19th centuries). The convent buildings of the east wing are from 1683, those of the north and west wings from the beginning of the 18th century (1704), restored in the 20th century. The foundation of the convent church dates back to the 8th century; it was rebuilt in the 11th and 12th centuries, restored in the 15th century, rebuilt in the 17th century (from 1687 to 1696 after a fire) and 18th century (west façade of 1719); in 1924: bell tower, staircase turret and statue of Saint-Odile. Mont Sainte-Odile is a place of pilgrimage and remembrance; it is established in the centre of the enclosure of a pagan wall and comprises a collection of buildings erected from the 8th to the 20th century.
