La tour était primitivement à deux étages, les créneaux anciens ayant été remontés au troisième étage d'une construction plus récente. Au 16e siècle, les meurtrières plus étroites du 15e siècle, dont il reste deux exemples au second étage, ont été remplacées par des fenêtres à meneaux. Ce château est l'une des seules constructions militaires subsistant du 15e siècle en Labourd.

History
The tower originally had two storeys, the old crenellations having been moved to the third storey of a more recent construction. In the 16th century, the narrower loopholes of the 15th century, of which two examples remain on the second storey, were replaced by mullioned windows. This castle is one of the few surviving military constructions from the 15th century in Labourd.
