La commune est une ancienne bastide fondée par Gaston Phébus et conserve encore une porte de ville en état. L'ouvrage, percé d'une arcade sur la route et monté d'un étage, est construit en galet et pierre. C'est l'unique vestige de l'ancien rempart. History
The commune is a former bastide founded by Gaston Phoebus and still preserves a town gate in good condition. The structure, pierced by an arcade over the road and mounted with one storey, is built of pebble and stone. It is the only remaining vestige of the old rampart. Another gate existed on the other side of the village, but it has disappeared, as have the ramparts which were built of earth.
