Historique
Croix située à la sortie du village, près du chemin qui permet de rejoindre Horta, chemin utilisé par les pèlerins de Compostelle qui, venant d'Ostabat, gagnaient Mendive et Saint-Sauveur d'Irati avant de rejoindre Roncevaux. Cette croix de carrefour de type navarrais est une croix latine avec bras droits terminés par des demi boules. Elle semble avoir été sectionnée et posée sur un autre fût. Un Christ stylisé, peu discernable, orne l'une des faces. L'inscription INRI domine son chef placé un peu plus haut que le croisillon. Le revers est décoré d'une Vierge Mère couronnée qui porte l'Enfant sur son bras gauche. Deux têtes à la chevelure abondante, placées sous les bras de la croix, présentent des visages énigmatiques. Le fût est circulaire. Il repose sur un piédestal constitué par deux hautes dalles de section rectangulaire.

History
Cross situated at the exit of the village, near the path which allows one to reach Horta, a path used by the pilgrims to Compostela who, coming from Ostabat, reached Mendive and Saint-Sauveur d'Irati before joining Roncevaux. This Navarrese-type crossroads cross is a Latin cross with straight arms terminating in half-spheres. It appears to have been cut and placed on another shaft. A stylized Christ, scarcely discernible, ornaments one of the faces. The inscription INRI dominates its head placed slightly higher than the crossarm. The reverse is decorated with a crowned Virgin Mother who bears the Child on her left arm. Two heads with abundant hair, placed under the arms of the cross, present enigmatic faces. The shaft is circular. It rests on a pedestal constituted by two tall slabs of rectangular section.
