Le plan rectangulaire présente, à l'angle sud-ouest, un donjon barlong contre lequel vient buter l'aile est, occupée par une seule salle. Au rez-de-chaussée, plusieurs archères rappellent l'époque où le castel avait une fonction défensive en relation avec le château de Pau. Au premier étage, la grande salle conserve un plafond peint. Quatre poutres maîtresses le divisent en cinq travées et portent un décor polychrome (rinceaux grotesques, guirlandes avec fruits, farandoles de femmes nues). Les solives sont également peintes de motifs floraux. Quelques fenêtres du 16e siècle gardent leurs dispositions premières.

History
The rectangular plan presents, at the south-west corner, an oblong donjon against which the east wing comes to rest, occupied by a single room. On the ground floor, several arrow-loops recall the period when the castel had a defensive function in relation to the château de Pau. On the first floor, the great hall retains a painted ceiling. Four main beams divide it into five bays and bear polychrome decoration (grotesque scrollwork, garlands with fruits, farandoles of naked women). The joists are also painted with floral motifs. A few 16th century windows retain their original arrangement.
