History
Ethnological interest of this type of construction implemented from the 14th to the 17th century. Rectangular plan with a ground floor in stacked timber assemblies joined at the corners with half-lap joints; and an upper storey in timber framing and clay and straw. The ground floor is accessible by north and south doors. The arrangement of the openings of the upper storey is modified. The roof structure rests on a band of two superimposed timbers assembled at the corners with half-lap joints, above the joisting. The interior layout comprised only one room, heated by a large chimney now demolished. The construction appears to predate the 18th century.
