L'église a été construite à la fin du 12e siècle, puis transformée et agrandie au 15e et 16e siècle. Elle se compose d'un choeur, à chevet plat, d'une nef couverte au 15e siècle de voûtes sur croisées d'ogives, avec liernes et tiercerons, et, sur la face sud, de deux chapelles voûtées sur croisées d'ogives qui semblent avoir été ajoutées au 16e siècle. Cette église a été fortifiée dès sa construction. Les murs de la nef et du choeur sont très épais et se terminent au sommet par un crénelage desservi par un chemin de ronde. Le chéneau en pierre, supporté par une assise en encorbellement, existe encore. La trace de l'ancienne toiture est encore parfaitement visible sur le mur du clocher, qui s'élève au-dessus de l'arc triomphal. Une porte percée dans le mur indique le niveau de cet étage où pouvaient se réunir les défenseurs et la population en cas d'attaque. History
The church was built at the end of the 12th century, then transformed and enlarged in the 15th and 16th centuries. It comprises a choir with flat chevet, a nave covered in the 15th century with rib vaults, with liernes and tiercerons, and, on the south face, two chapels with rib vaults which appear to have been added in the 16th century. This church was fortified from its construction. The walls of the nave and choir are very thick and terminate at the top with crenellations served by a wall-walk. The stone gutter, supported by an offset course, still exists. The trace of the former roof is still perfectly visible on the wall of the bell tower, which rises above the triumphal arch. A door pierced in the wall indicates the level of this storey where the defenders and population could gather in case of attack. A stone staircase, set into the thickness of the wall of the west façade, allowed the defenders to access the wall-walk. The system of defence could be completed by a girdle of timber hoardings, supported by wooden pieces, engaged in square holes, visible below the wall-walk. The west portal is surmounted by an ancient Christogram.
