Historique

History
Built to defend the mill and a ford crossing, the castle forms a defensive system consisting of a quadrilateral provided, at each angle, with a square tower. The south and east sides are closed by an enclosure wall reduced in the 17th century. The two other sides are occupied by two constructions in right-angle return, one of which, to the north, is the main dwelling body. A construction from the 19th century leans on the west wing of the castle. The construction mixes brick, stone and timber framing. Located in the middle of the main dwelling body, and opening onto the inner courtyard, a central staircase serves each storey where rooms succeed one another in enfilade. Each storey communicates equally with the west wing. At the level of the first storey of the north-east tower, a wall-walk established on the east enclosure wall joins the south-east square tower.
