Historique
L'église faisait partie d'un système de fortifications qui défendaient la ville. Elle se compose d'une nef qui se termine, à l'est, par une abside polygonale. Les quatre travées de la nef et l'abside sont voûtées sur croisées d'ogives avec liernes et tiercerons. Deux chapelles latérales s'ouvrent sur la quatrième travée. History
The church formed part of a system of fortifications that defended the town. It consists of a nave which terminates, to the east, in a polygonal apse. The four bays of the nave and the apse are vaulted on rib vaults with liernes and tiercerons. Two lateral chapels open onto the fourth bay. The bell tower, a massive square tower, attached to the end of the nave, protects a town gate. Its ground floor has no direct communication with the interior of the church. A Saint-Gilles spiral staircase gives access to this bell tower. Two other staircases situated near the lateral chapels, give access to the galleries or lodges of the lord. One of these lodges formerly communicated with a castle which was demolished in the 19th century.
