Historique
Le château primitif, ruiné à la Révolution et démoli suite à son état de dégradation, se situait à l'est de l'édifice actuel. Seule l'aile ouest fut épargnée. Des remaniements lui donnèrent un caractère plus monumental, avec deux pavillons situés de part et d'autre d'un corps central. Des fenêtres à meneaux et une porte à linteau subsistent, témoignant de l'ancien édifice. L'une des tours qui étaient autrefois accrochées à chaque angle de l'édifice primitif, subsiste. Cette tour est ronde à la base, et octogone à sa partie supérieure. Le plan octogonal donne naissance à une coupole nervurée sur sept quartiers.

History
The primitive castle, ruined at the Revolution and demolished following its state of degradation, was situated to the east of the present building. Only the west wing was spared. Alterations gave it a more monumental character, with two pavilions situated on either side of a central body. Windows with mullions and a door with lintel remain, testifying to the old building. One of the towers which were formerly attached to each angle of the primitive building still remains. This tower is round at the base, and octagonal at its upper part. The octagonal plan gives rise to a ribbed dome on seven segments.
