Etape sur la route de Saint-Jacques de Compostelle, la collégiale de Pimbo est mentionnée pour la première fois dans un texte du 11e siècle. Edifice roman du 12e siècle à trois nefs et trois absides, elle fut restaurée après les guerres de religion et dotée d'un mobilier de qualité (les statues et autels sont conservés, mais le décor du chevet a disparu). Le portail roman de la façade principale comprend plusieurs rouleaux d'arcs en plein-cintre décorés d'ornements géométriques, de feuilles ou de moulures, retombant sur de fortes colonnettes. Accolée au nord de l'église, la maison abbatiale, reconstruite à l'époque moderne puis restaurée au 19e siècle pour servir de presbytère, conserve une belle salle romane voûtée.

History
Stage on the road to Saint-Jacques de Compostelle, the collegiate church of Pimbo is mentioned for the first time in a text of the 11th century. Romanesque building of the 12th century with three naves and three apses, it was restored after the Wars of Religion and provided with quality furnishings (the statues and altars are preserved, but the decoration of the chevet has disappeared). The Romanesque portal of the main facade comprises several rolls of round arches decorated with geometric ornaments, leaves or mouldings, resting on strong colonettes. Attached to the north of the church, the abbatial house, rebuilt in the modern period then restored in the 19th century to serve as presbytery, preserves a fine Romanesque vaulted hall.
