Historique
Ensemble formé par le château, le portail d'entrée et les dépendances, construit entre 1678 et 1692. Château d'aspect classique ayant conservé des décors intérieurs du 17e siècle. Les vastes dépendances font partie intégrante du château qui eut et conserve la fonction d'exploitation agricole. Le château est couronné d'un comble à la Mansart. A l'intérieur, vaste cage d'escalier et décor du grand salon scandé de pilastres cannelés. Le portail d'entrée provient de l'abbaye de la Castelle à Duhort-Bachen (transporté et remonté en 1839). Une mosaïque gallo-romaine provenant de Saint-Sever a été installée dans le vestibule en 1902. D'autres fragments de cette mosaïque ont été réutilisés dans la maison sise 9, place de Verdun à Saint-Sever (voir notice PA40000054).

History
Ensemble formed by the castle, the entrance gateway and the outbuildings, built between 1678 and 1692. Castle of classical aspect having preserved interior decorations from the 17th century. The vast outbuildings are an integral part of the castle which had and retains the function of agricultural operation. The castle is crowned with a Mansart roof. Inside, vast staircase cage and decoration of the great salon divided by fluted pilasters. The entrance gateway comes from the abbey of la Castelle at Duhort-Bachen (transported and reassembled in 1839). A Gallo-Roman mosaic from Saint-Sever was installed in the vestibule in 1902. Other fragments of this mosaic were reused in the house located at 9, place de Verdun in Saint-Sever (see notice PA40000054).
