L'église, à nef unique, a été reconstruite au 12e siècle sur un édifice antérieur dont des chapiteaux et des colonnes ont été remployés dans la façade. Bien que très remaniée au 19e siècle, elle conserve encore des éléments anciens : une façade de type angoumois et des chapiteaux romans, dont un représentant le martyre de Saint-Etienne.

History
The church, with a single nave, was rebuilt in the 12th century on a former building from which capitals and columns were reused in the façade. Although much modified in the 19th century, it still retains old elements: a façade of Angoumois type and Romanesque capitals, one of which depicts the martyrdom of Saint-Étienne.
