Appliquée contre la commanderie dont elle faisait peut-être partie autrefois, se trouve une maison romane qui a été remaniée au 15e siècle. Elle présente sur rue une façade en pans de bois. La porte se compose d'un arc ogival qui s'appuie d'un côté à un rocher auquel est accolée une maison avec fenêtres à meneaux, et de l'autre à une tourelle en encorbellement sur une maison du 15e siècle. Trois poteaux de bois partant du sol supportent un poitrail qui reçoit les solives du premier étage. Au sommet de ces trois poteaux s'avancent, sur des consoles représentant des anges, des statuettes mutilées au-dessous desquelles se trouvent des écussons effacés. Le poitrail est orné d'une torsade engoulée par deux têtes de monstres. L'angle inférieur du poitrail est orné d'une moulure ronde, engoulée aux extrémités par un animal indéterminé et, au centre, par deux dauphins enlaçant leurs queues.

History
Applied against the commandery of which it may once have formed part, stands a Romanesque house which was altered in the 15th century. It presents on the street a façade in timber framing. It is joined to another house by the arch of the Cadène which formerly formed the boundary between the lower town and the upper town. Because of the rivalry that existed between the inhabitants of these two parts of the town, a chain (cadène) was stretched each evening under the archway. The construction appears to date from the 13th century. The door comprises a pointed arch which rests on one side against a rock to which is attached a house with mullioned windows, and on the other against a turret in corbel above a 15th-century house. Three wooden posts rising from the ground support a breast beam which receives the joists of the first floor. At the top of these three posts advance, on consoles representing angels, mutilated statuettes beneath which are faded escutcheons. The breast beam is adorned with a twisted moulding engulfed by two heads of monsters. The lower angle of the breast beam is adorned with a round moulding, engulfed at the extremities by an indeterminate animal and, at the centre, by two dolphins entwining their tails.
