Historique
Eglise romane présentant un plan ramassé doté d'une courte nef, d'un vaste chevet à trois absides ouvrant sur un transept débordant. Cette partie reçoit une coupole sur pendentifs à la croisée. La nef, restée inachevée ou partiellement détruite, est fermée à l'ouest par un mur pignon du 13e ou 14e siècle, et est terminée par un pignon aigu installé vers la fin du 16e siècle. Le chevet et le transept ont été aménagés pour la défense durant les guerres de Religion (16e siècle). Décor sculpté sur les chapiteaux, avec motifs végétaux, thèmes bibliques, corbeilles sculptées de figures humaines et animalières. La voûte de l'absidiole conserve un décor peint d'apôtres réalisé au 16e siècle.

History
Romanesque church presenting a compact plan endowed with a short nave, a vast chevet with three apses opening onto a projecting transept. This part receives a dome on pendentives at the crossing. The nave, left unfinished or partially destroyed, is closed to the west by a gable wall of the 13th or 14th century, and is terminated by an acute gable installed towards the end of the 16th century. The chevet and transept were fitted out for defence during the Wars of Religion (16th century). Sculpted decoration on the capitals, with plant motifs, biblical themes, corbels carved with human and animal figures. The vault of the apsidiole retains painted decoration of apostles executed in the 16th century.
