Historique
Ancienne église de Templiers construite au cours du 13e siècle et conservée dans ses dispositions générales. Au 15e siècle, les murs ont été surélevés pour ménager au-dessus de la voûte un refuge aux habitants. Deux échauguettes ont été établies pour la défense aux angles nord-ouest et sud-est. Les corbeaux supportant l'ancienne corniche existent encore ainsi que ceux qui étaient destinés à recevoir, à un étage inférieur, la couverture d'un appentis. L'intérieur se compose d'une salle unique rectangulaire, voûtée en tiers-point. Le portail présente une disposition singulière : chaque piedroit est composé d'une grosse colonne et de quatre colonnettes s'évasant à 45° qui se terminent par un chapiteau roman. Un porche fermé plus large que la façade précède l'église. Une petite salle au nord conserve un décor peint.

History
Former Templar church built in the course of the 13th century and preserved in its general arrangements. In the 15th century, the walls were raised to provide above the vault a refuge for the inhabitants. Two machicolations were established for defence at the north-west and south-east angles. The corbels supporting the ancient cornice still exist as well as those which were intended to receive, at a lower level, the covering of a lean-to. The interior consists of a single rectangular chamber, vaulted in pointed arch. The portal presents a singular arrangement: each jamb is composed of a large column and four small columns flaring at 45° which terminate in a Romanesque capital. An enclosed porch wider than the façade precedes the church. A small room to the north preserves painted decoration.
