History
The oldest elements date back to the early 14th century, namely the base of all the castle walls, the first two storeys of the towers of the Gate and part of the octagonal tower. In the 15th century, the use of new weapons led to an evolution of the defensive system, embrasures succeeding loopholes. The 16th century is found in a vaulted hall situated to the right of the Gate, perhaps the former chapel according to some archaeologists. At the beginning of the 19th century, important works were carried out, modifying certain aspects of the castle, with Empire apartments.
