Edifice construit sur les soubassements du château-fort de la Mothe de Cantenac. Il présente un plan quadrangulaire entouré d'eau par des douves. Les angles sont fortifiés par des tourelles rondes dont deux ont été abaissées au 17e siècle. Sur un côté, un châtelet d'entrée est protégé par deux tours rondes surbaissées. De l'autre, les douves se franchissent par un pont de pierre du 15e siècle. La façade principale comporte un pavillon central carré à deux étages, couronné de balustres sur corniche à consoles. History
Building constructed on the substructures of the castle-keep of the Mothe de Cantenac. It presents a quadrangular plan surrounded by water with moats. The angles are fortified by round turrets, two of which were reduced in height in the 17th century. On one side, a gatehouse is protected by two shortened round towers. On the other, the moats are crossed by a stone bridge of the 15th century. The main façade comprises a square central pavilion with two storeys, crowned with balusters on a console cornice. Porch with two round columns with Corinthian capitals. Inside, Renaissance fireplaces.
