En 1784, Nicolas Peres Duvivier, écuyer, acheta un terrain sur lequel il fit bâtir, entre 1785 et 1787, deux immeubles de rapport contigus. Ces deux immeubles forment extérieurement un bloc homogène. Le soubassement comprend un rez-de-chaussée et un entresol en une arcade. Le premier étage présente de grandes fenêtres couronnées par un fronton sur console de pierre. Le deuxième étage à plates-bandes unies est surmonté d'une corniche à modillons avec lucarnes arrondies dans le brisis d'ardoise. Intérieurement, les deux immeubles sont organisés de façon indépendante et sont séparés par un mur de refend déterminant deux ensembles en lanière. Au 21, l'escalier conserve son garde-corps en fer forgé ponctué de fleurons ainsi que quelques éléments de décor primitifs (cheminées, portes, lambris). History
In 1784, Nicolas Peres Duvivier, esquire, purchased a plot of land on which he had built, between 1785 and 1787, two adjacent rental buildings. These two buildings form externally a homogeneous block. The basement comprises a ground floor and an entresol in an arcade. The first floor presents large windows crowned by a pediment on stone console. The second floor with plain bands is surmounted by a cornice with modillions with rounded dormers in the slate slope. Internally, the two buildings are organized independently and are separated by a wall determining two ribbon arrangements. At no. 21, the staircase retains its wrought iron balustrade punctuated with fleurons as well as some elements of original decoration (fireplaces, doors, panelling). No. 23 includes a light well to light the staircase and the rooms at the back.
