Ancien hôtel des sociétés savantes, bâti par le maître maçon et architecte Pierre Léglise en 1643. Cet hôtel est un modèle de l'architecture du 17e siècle. Il se compose d'un corps de logis à deux étages et deux ailes encadrant une cour d'honneur et s'avançant en pavillons sur la rue du Loup. Façade de style Louis XIII avec rinceaux et moulures, chaînes de pierre, consoles et enroulements avec couronnement de frontons circulaires, boules et pots à fleurs, acrotères d'angles. Voûte en encorbellement surmontée d'un balcon. Porte cochère encadrée de deux colonnes ioniques engagées s'ouvrant au milieu d'un portique réunissant les ailes et supportant la galerie.

History
Former hotel of learned societies, built by master mason and architect Pierre Léglise in 1643. This hotel is a model of 17th century architecture. It consists of a main dwelling with two storeys and two wings framing a courtyard of honour and projecting as pavilions onto the rue du Loup. Façade in Louis XIII style with scrollwork and mouldings, stone quoins, consoles and volutes with crowning circular pediments, balls and flower urns, corner acroteria. Barrel vault surmounted by a balcony. Carriage entrance framed by two engaged Ionic columns opening in the middle of a portico uniting the wings and supporting the gallery.
