Edifice du 12e siècle, conservant à l'intérieur un intéressant décor sculpté, auquel a été ajouté au 15e siècle un clocher défensif. La sacristie remonte au 17e siècle (1669). A l'origine, elle comportait une nef unique terminée par une abside. Le bas-côté sud date du 16e siècle. L'abside semi-circulaire est voûtée en cul de four. Certaines corbeilles portent des thèmes décoratifs archaïques de type saintongeais, comme des entrelacs, des frises d'oiseaux... D'autres éléments (longues manches de certains personnages) attestent la fin du 12e siècle. Les deux chapiteaux de la fenêtre d'axe de l'abside évoquent symboliquement le Paradis et l'Enfer.

History
Building of the 12th century, retaining inside interesting sculptured decoration, to which was added in the 15th century a defensive bell tower. The sacristy dates from the 17th century (1669). Originally, it comprised a single nave terminated by an apse. The south aisle dates from the 16th century. The semi-circular apse is vaulted with a barrel vault. Certain capitals bear archaic decorative themes of Saintongeais type, such as interlace, friezes of birds... Other elements (long sleeves of certain figures) attest the end of the 12th century. The two capitals of the axial window of the apse evoke symbolically Paradise and Hell.
