Historique

History
Cabin of circular plan, with a diameter of approximately three metres. The floor of the cabin is at a height difference of approximately 60 centimetres compared to the level of the upper meadow. The load-bearing wall, in small squared rubble stone, is pierced on the south side by a door whose lintel is in stone. It is closed by a wooden panel, as is the window opening on the eastern part, and ventilating the loft. The vault is not visible from the interior, a wooden floor concealing it. A truncated stone cone is placed at the apex of the conical roof in stone slate. Ethnographic testimony; the cabins seem to have been built in the majority in the 19th century, and cannot be earlier than the 17th century. These constructions seem linked to viticultural activity. According to testimony, the cabin served as temporary shelter for meals, the duration of a shower or for rest. The mule, donkey or horse could be stationed there.
