Commencée sous Bertrand de Rouffignac (1491-1505) , l'église du monastère fut achevée par Bertrand de la Faye (1520-1540) dans un gothique flamboyant. Les nouveaux bâtiments furent incendiés pendant les guerres de Religion en 1569, entraînant la décadence de l'abbaye qui s'accentua aux 17e et 18e siècles. L'église est restaurée au 19e siècle (fin des travaux en 1889). Travaux d'urbanisme en 1950. History
Begun under Bertrand de Rouffignac (1491-1505), the church of the monastery was completed by Bertrand de la Faye (1520-1540) in flamboyant gothic. The new buildings were set on fire during the Wars of Religion in 1569, leading to the decline of the abbey which increased in the 17th and 18th centuries. The church is restored in the 19th century (end of works in 1889). Urbanisation works in 1950. Presence of stone remains from the Romanesque period (capitals, modillions) and gothic period (recumbent figure and low reliefs).
