Historique
Prieuré régulier non conventuel, relevant de l'abbaye de Sarlat et dépendant de l'ordre de Saint-Benoît, dès 1311. Durant la guerre de Cent ans, 1413, les Anglais pillèrent l'église et la maison priorale. Ce ne fut sans doute qu'à la Révolution que le prieuré disparut en tant que tel. Dans son état actuel, il n'est pas possible de retrouver ce qu'il était à son apogée. Une cour devait être fermée à l'ouest par le corps de logis, à l'est par un petit bâtiment en U, au sud par un autre en partie reconstruit avec, vraisemblablement un passage entre lui et le logis. Au nord existait un mur de clôture percé d'une porte charretière qui a disparu. Le corps de logis ne présente plus qu'un rez-de-chaussée alors qu'il devait présenter un étage, comme en témoigne la partie nord. Intérieurement, tout a été redistribué.

History
Regular priory not conventual, dependent on the abbey of Sarlat and subject to the order of Saint-Benoît, from 1311 onwards. During the Hundred Years' War, in 1413, the English plundered the church and the prior's house. It was no doubt only at the Revolution that the priory disappeared as such. In its current state, it is not possible to find what it was at its height. A courtyard was to be closed on the west by the main dwelling, on the east by a small U-shaped building, on the south by another partly reconstructed with, presumably a passage between it and the dwelling. On the north there existed a boundary wall pierced by a carriage gate which has disappeared. The main dwelling now presents only a ground floor whereas it must have had a storey, as evidenced by the northern part. Internally, everything has been rearranged.
