Le château actuel fut rebâti en 1653-1660 par Antoine de Costes de la Calprenède. Son arrière petit-fils entreprit au 18e siècle la création d'un jardin classique. Le domaine est abandonné après la guerre de 1914-1918 jusqu'aux années 1960 où le nouveau propriétaire crée un jardin en s'appuyant sur les éléments classiques retrouvés. Le château est précédé au sud d'une cour communiquant à l'ouest vers les communs ; au sud, deux pavillons carrés ponctuent les angles sud-ouest et sud-est de la cour ; le logis rectangulaire, simple et équilibré, comporte côté sud deux niveaux et un haut comble à toit d'ardoises ; à l'ouest, les communs, partiellement couverts de lauzes, sont formés de deux ailes perpendiculaires. Le jardin est dominé par deux axes perpendiculaires : à l'est du château, les deux grands alignements ouest-est de l'allée de charmes et de l'allée des vases ; au sud, dans l'axe du château, la perspective montante dite "jardin français". Cet ensemble est agrémenté d'aménagements périphériques de l'ouest au sud : la grand bassin ou vivier des communs et le potager, la pépinière et la roseraie avec la maison du jardinier et les espaces d'accueil dans l'ancienne ferme.

History
The present château was rebuilt in 1653-1660 by Antoine de Costes de la Calprenède. His great-great-grandson undertook in the 18th century the creation of a classical garden. The garden is dominated by two perpendicular axes: to the east of the château, the two great west-east alignments of the avenue of hornbeams and the avenue of vases; to the south, in the axis of the château, the rising perspective called the "French garden". This ensemble is embellished with peripheral arrangements from west to south: the grand basin or fish pond of the outbuildings and the vegetable garden, the plant nursery and the rose garden with the gardener's house and reception areas in the former farmhouse.
