Maison construite entre 1303 et 1323 par le chapelain du pape Clément V, premier prieur de Saint-Avit-Senieur. Elle est un jalon important pour l'architecture civile médiévale en Aquitaine. History
House built between 1303 and 1323 by the chaplain of Pope Clement V, first prior of Saint-Avit-Senieur. It is an important milestone for medieval civil architecture in Aquitaine. Indeed, this house is reputed to have been the residence of the priors of Saint-Avit-Senieur, to whose manse the church of Sainte-Croix was united by Clement V. The absence of any defensive device would demonstrate that it was built in a time of peace. The building presents itself as a fortified house with high walls, lit by a trilobed window. The entrance door in basket-handle arch was retouched in the early 16th century.
