Dès le 11e siècle, il existait une communauté religieuse qui, peu à peu, dut s'agrandir et devenir une petite abbaye. L'église est à peu près intacte, mais les bâtiments conventuels ont aujourd'hui disparu. Sous sa forme actuelle, l'église présente trois étapes de construction. Du 11e siècle, il reste une travée de choeur et le clocher qui la surmonte. Au 12e siècle, le choeur semi-circulaire dut être agrandi et voûté en cul de four. Enfin, au 15e siècle, la nef fut agrandie et un bas-côté lui fut ajouté au nord. Au 17e siècle, le maître autel fut aménagé dans la travée médiane du bas-côté. L'ensemble est élevé en belles pierres de taille régulièrement assisées et couvert en tuiles canal.

History
From the 11th century, there existed a religious community which, gradually, had to grow and become a small abbey. The church is more or less intact, but the conventional buildings have today disappeared. In its present form, the church presents three stages of construction. From the 11th century, there remains a bay of the choir and the bell tower that surmounts it. In the 12th century, the semicircular choir had to be enlarged and vaulted in a dome. Finally, in the 15th century, the nave was enlarged and an aisle was added to it on the north. In the 17th century, the high altar was fitted out in the median bay of the aisle. The whole is raised in fine ashlar regularly coursed and covered with barrel tiles.
