Construite dans la rue médiévale qui a succédé à l'ancienne voie romaine, la maison des Dames de la Foi fut d'abord une maison du Temple, puis un hôtel particulier. En 1680, elle est donnée par les Arnaud de Laborie aux Dames de la Foi qui y résidèrent jusqu'en 1792. Dans la seconde moitié du 19e siècle, l'immeuble est divisé en plusieurs logements locatifs. En 1997, l'immeuble est racheté et réuni en une seule propriété. History
Built in the medieval street which succeeded the ancient Roman road, the house of the Dames de la Foi was first a house of the Temple, then a private mansion. In 1680, it is given by the Arnaud de Laborie to the Dames de la Foi who resided there until 1792. In the second half of the 19th century, the building is divided into several rental dwellings. In 1997, the building is repurchased and united into a single property. The house has retained much of its original arrangements from the Romanesque period; the decoration is concentrated on the façade. This is a Romanesque house with a trapezoidal plan whose four load-bearing walls are preserved, and presenting an initial distribution of two storeys, modified in the 16th century by the addition of a storey and a partition wall. In 1996, an archaeological survey of the building uncovered murals, mainly on the first primitive storey. These decorations are inspired by the iconographic repertory of the New Testament and are datable to the end of the 13th, beginning of 14th centuries.
