Cette loge résulte de la fusion de deux anciennes loges de Périgueux. Elle prend pour titre "les Amis persévérants et l'Etoile de Vésone réunis" et s'installe le 1er mars 1857. En 1861, lors du percement de la rue Saint-Front, la ville concède à la loge la superficie de terrain sur laquelle doit avancer la façade de l'immeuble. Le temple est inauguré en 1869. Plans de la façade, sculptures et travaux sont l'oeuvre de l'architecte Lambert, de l'artiste Grasset et de l'entrepreneur Eyssalet. En 1876, une scission amène la création d'une nouvelle loge, dite "la Tolérance". ££Seules les façades nord et ouest reçurent un décor qui rappellerait une architecture mauresque balkanique. Les ouvertures de l'étage sont géminées et ornées de colonnettes supportant un arc mitré. Deux sortes de petits clochetons encadrent le pignon. Les éléments de la décoration sont à dominante de lignes brisées, avec quelques éléments circulaires ainsi qu'un décor de rinceaux et de motifs végétaux.

History
This lodge results from the merger of two former lodges of Périgueux. It takes the title "the Persevering Friends and the Star of Vésone united" and is established on 1 March 1857. In 1861, during the opening of rue Saint-Front, the city concedes to the lodge the area of land on which must advance the façade of the building. The temple is inaugurated in 1869. Plans of the façade, sculptures and works are the work of the architect Lambert, the artist Grasset and the contractor Eyssalet. In 1876, a schism leads to the creation of a new lodge, called "the Tolerance". The north and west façades alone received decoration which would recall a Balkan Moorish architecture. The openings on the floor are twin and decorated with colonnettes supporting a mitre arch. Two sorts of small bell towers frame the gable. The elements of the decoration are predominantly of broken lines, with some circular elements as well as decoration of scrollwork and vegetable motifs.
