La première mention du château remonte à 1328. Les communs forment l'enceinte du château et semblent avoir eu davantage une destination militaire qu'agricole. L'entrée sud était défendue par un châtelet rectangulaire construit sur un porche et dont l'axe est perpendiculaire à l'axe des autres bâtiments. Ces bâtiments, dont les fondations sont sans doute antérieures au 17e siècle, sont construits, en partie, sur des caves voûtées qui étaient plus des salles de défense et de garde que des caves proprement dites. Une tour ronde soude ces bâtiments au mur d'enceinte ouest qui maintient la terrasse face au château. La date de 1688 est gravée sur le linteau d'une porte d'étable.

History
The first mention of the castle dates back to 1328. The outbuildings form the enclosure of the castle and appear to have had more of a military than agricultural purpose. The south entrance was defended by a rectangular gatehouse built on a porch and whose axis is perpendicular to the axis of the other buildings. These buildings, whose foundations are probably earlier than the 17th century, are constructed, in part, on vaulted cellars which were more rooms for defence and guard than proper cellars. A round tower joins these buildings to the west enclosure wall which maintains the terrace facing the castle. The date 1688 is engraved on the lintel of a stable door.
