Si les structures générales de l'édifice semblent dater du 12e siècle, un très important remaniement fut effectué au 16e siècle, Jaure ayant eu probablement à souffrir des guerres de Cent ans et de Religion. Une restauration générale fut entreprise en 1832 et 1842. L'édifice se compose d'une nef à deux travées voûtées d'ogives et séparées par un arc doubleau, pour se terminer par un choeur à chevet plat. Des chapelles latérales, aménagées au 16e siècle, sont logées dans l'épaisseur des murs. Sur la façade nord se situerait une chambre de défense dont les corbeaux de hourdage sont encore apparents. La partie ouest du choeur est surmontée par le clocher carré.

History
If the general structures of the building appear to date from the 12th century, a very major reconstruction was carried out in the 16th century, Jaure having probably suffered from the Hundred Years' War and Wars of Religion. A general restoration was undertaken in 1832 and 1842. The building consists of a nave with two bays with rib vaults separated by a transverse arch, ending with a choir with a flat chevet. Lateral chapels, fitted in the 16th century, are housed within the thickness of the walls. On the north facade would be located a defensive chamber whose corbels of hoarding are still visible. The western part of the choir is surmounted by the square bell tower.
