Grand château des vicomtes de Limoges, datant des 12e (tours) et 15e siècles (corps de logis). Primitivement, les deux donjons carrés étaient isolés. History
Grand castle of the Viscounts of Limoges, dating from the 12th centuries (towers) and 15th centuries (main dwelling). Originally, the two square keeps were isolated. The main dwelling has a fine Renaissance surround defended by long loopholes and a round turret whose crenellations are crowned with a dome. Access to the fortress is gained after a defensive corridor, by a monumental 15th-century gatehouse with drawbridge. The gatehouse is further defended by the loopholes of two corbelled round turrets.
