Historique
Le château a été achevé en 1565 et présente un type fréquent en Périgord : simple logis, flanqué d'une tour d'escalier. La cour était fermée d'un côté par le manoir, de deux autres par les communs, du quatrième par un mur percé d'un portail charretier. Un porche crénelé donne accès à une cour intérieure, fermée par des bâtiments plus récents que le corps de logis principal, flanqué à l'ouest d'une tour polygonale contenant un escalier à vis, et dont la toiture a disparu à la suite d'un incendie en 1931. Deux tourelles en encorbellement sont agrafées sur la façade orientale, précédée d'une terrasse à balustres donnant de plain pied sur le rez-de-chaussée. Cette façade est percée de fenêtres à meneaux et possède une lucarne à fronton semi-circulaire. A l'intérieur, le couloir de l'étage est voûté d'un berceau plein cintre sculpté de fleurons en relief. En contrebas de la terrasse, subsiste un pigeonnier armorié.

History
The château was completed in 1565 and presents a type common in Périgord: a simple main dwelling, flanked by a stair tower. The courtyard was closed on one side by the manor, on two others by the outbuildings, on the fourth by a wall pierced with a carriage gate. A crenellated porch gives access to an interior courtyard, closed by buildings more recent than the principal main dwelling, flanked to the west by a polygonal tower containing a spiral staircase, whose roof disappeared following a fire in 1931. Two corbelled turrets are clasped onto the eastern façade, preceded by a balustrade terrace giving directly onto the ground floor. This façade is pierced with mullioned windows and has a dormer with a semicircular pediment. Inside, the corridor of the upper floor is vaulted with a barrel vault sculptured with fleurons in relief. Below the terrace, a heraldic dovecote remains.
