De l'édifice des 11e et 12e siècles, il ne reste que la nef. Quelques fragments d'un château subsistent près de l'église. Au cours de la guerre de Cent ans, construction d'une chambre de défense au-dessus de la nef. Reconstruction du transept et du choeur aux 15ème et 16e siècles par les seigneurs de Besse. Le choeur servait de chapelle funéraire à la famille seigneuriale. La construction de la sacristie date du 19e siècle. En décembre 1960 sont découvertes les peintures murales du 16e siècle, dans le bras sud du transept.

History
Of the building of the 11th and 12th centuries, only the nave remains. A few fragments of a château survive near the church. During the Hundred Years' War, construction of a defensive chamber above the nave. Reconstruction of the transept and choir in the 15th and 16th centuries by the lords of Besse. The choir served as a funerary chapel for the seigneurial family. The construction of the sacristy dates from the 19th century. In December 1960 the 16th-century murals are discovered in the south arm of the transept.
