En 1672, la mission de Périgueux avait annexé les bénéfices de l'église Saint-Jacques et de l'ancien prieuré Saint-Martin pour créer, dix ans plus tard, la Petite Mission pour l'éducation des enfants qui se destinaient à l'état ecclésiastique. Ce fut l'origine du Petit Séminaire qui fonctionna jusqu'en 1838. Les bâtiments se répartissent autour d'une cour intérieure prolongeant l'église Saint-Jacques. History
In 1672, the Périgueux mission had annexed the benefices of the church of Saint-Jacques and the former priory of Saint-Martin to create, ten years later, the Petite Mission for the education of children destined for the ecclesiastical state. This was the origin of the Petit Séminaire which operated until 1838. The buildings are distributed around an interior courtyard extending the church of Saint-Jacques. Walls of flat bricks with ashlar chainwork. On the north facade of the southern building remain pillars forming a gallery which extended to the west of the courtyard. The presbytery is located to the north of this courtyard. The south-east facade has three levels to compensate for the ground slope.
