Historique
Hôtel élevé entre 1704 et 1713 pour Paul de Salvador, doyen du tribunal de la Rote, à partir de maisons existantes. L'édifice actuel eut pour architectes Louis Rochas et surtout Jean Péru. Les Franque n'interviennent qu'en tant qu'entrepreneurs et réalisent dans cet hôtel, en 1713, le premier escalier suspendu de la ville, sur les plans de l'architecte carpentrassien Antoine d'Allemand. C'est un édifice en U, dont les bâtiments s'ordonnent autour d'une cour intérieure caladée fermée au sud par un mur bas reliant les pavillons est et ouest. Ce mur est percé en son centre d'un portail d'entrée avec pilastres et demi-pilastres à chapiteaux ioniques. A l'intérieur, l'aile est renferme l'escalier suspendu avec sa rampe en fer forgé. Au premier étage, une chambre à alcôve conserve un fin décor de gypserie. L'hôtel a conservé ses volumes initiaux et la plupart des salles possèdent encore leur plafond à la française.

History
Hotel erected between 1704 and 1713 for Paul de Salvador, dean of the tribunal of the Rote, from existing houses. The present building was designed by architects Louis Rochas and especially Jean Péru. The Franque intervene only as contractors and realize in this hotel, in 1713, the first suspended staircase in the city, on the plans of the Carpentras architect Antoine d'Allemand. It is a U-shaped building, whose structures are arranged around an interior paved courtyard closed to the south by a low wall connecting the east and west pavilions. This wall is pierced in its centre by an entrance portal with pilasters and half-pilasters with Ionic capitals. Inside, the east wing contains the suspended staircase with its wrought ironwork railing. On the first floor, a room with an alcove retains fine plasterwork decoration. The hotel has preserved its original volumes and most of the rooms still have their French ceiling.
