Puits d'extraction d'une profondeur de 455 mètres foré en 1912 pour la société nouvelle des charbonnages des Bouches-du-Rhône, et portant le nom de l'ingénieur qui procéda à son creusement. Le chevalement métallique est construit en 1917 par Derobert, mais le puits, noyé accidentellement, n'est mis en service qu'en 1923 ; il restera en activité jusqu'en 1960. Le site est actuellement propriété du groupe des Houillères du Bassin du Centre et du Midi. Le bâtiment des machines conserve la machine d'extraction avec son moteur, son réducteur, son tambour d'enroulement, la salle de pilotage et divers appareils de contrôle et de sécurité.

History
Extraction shaft with a depth of 455 metres drilled in 1912 for the Société Nouvelle des Charbonnages des Bouches-du-Rhône, and bearing the name of the engineer who conducted its sinking. The metal headframe is constructed in 1917 by Derobert, but the shaft, accidentally flooded, is only put into service in 1923; it remains in operation until 1960. The site is currently owned by the Houillères du Bassin du Centre et du Midi group. The engine house preserves the extraction engine with its motor, its reducer, its winding drum, the control room and various control and safety apparatus.
