Historique
Hôtel créé à l'inititative de Henri Négresco, fils d'un aubergiste roumain arrivé à Nice en 1902. Financé par l'industriel de l'automobile Alexandre Darracq, et dessiné par l'architecte parisien Edouard Niermans, l'hôtel est inauguré en 1912. Pendant la première guerre mondiale, il est transformé en hôpital militaire. C'est un des rares survivants de l'hôtellerie du début du 20e siècle.

History
Hotel created at the initiative of Henri Négresco, son of a Romanian innkeeper who arrived in Nice in 1902. Financed by the automobile industrialist Alexandre Darracq, and designed by Parisian architect Edouard Niermans, the hotel was inaugurated in 1912. During the First World War, it was converted into a military hospital. It is one of the rare survivors of early 20th century hotel architecture.
