Fondée au 8e siècle, l'abbaye connait une grande période de prospérité pendant tout le Moyen Age. Le déclin de l'abbaye commence au 16e siècle et à la fin du 18e siècle, en 1792, ses biens sont transférés au domaine royal. L'édifice est acheté en 1908 par la ville de Nice qui y installe un hôpital. L'église a été reconstruite à partir de 1724 dans le style baroque (plan en ellipse, vitres claires, ...).

History
Founded in the 8th century, the abbey experiences a great period of prosperity throughout the Middle Ages. The decline of the abbey begins in the 16th century and at the end of the 18th century, in 1792, its goods are transferred to the royal domain. The building is purchased in 1908 by the town of Nice which installs a hospital there. The church was rebuilt from 1724 in baroque style (elliptical plan, clear glass, ...).
