History
Castle built by Jacques Amat, in the second half of the 17th century. The building is raised two storeys over a basement with barrel vault. The old town gate with a pointed arch forms an integral part of the building. The current building appears to be supported on the old town fortification and an old seigneurial residence from the late Middle Ages, of which the town gate and the thickness of the base of the south-east exterior walls preserve the memory. Gypswork decoration, French ceilings.
