L'ancien Hôtel-Dieu a été fondé en 1208 par Pierre de Theillay, favori de Philippe Auguste et bailli de Caen. Il n'en subsiste que des vestiges. Ils se composent d'un pignon et d'un mur de chapelle, de plusieurs salles avec caves voûtées et enfin d'un vestige de cloître à arcades dont les piles sont alternativement rondes et carrées.

The former Hôtel-Dieu was founded in 1208 by Pierre de Theillay, favourite of Philip Augustus and bailli of Caen. Only vestiges of it remain. They consist of a gable and a chapel wall, several rooms with vaulted cellars and finally a remnant of a cloister with arcades whose piers are alternately round and square.
