Historique
Construit pour le marquis du Terrail entre 1756 et 1760, cet hôtel fut occupé par Dom François d'Assise de Bourbon, roi d'Espagne en exil à la fin du 19e siècle. D'importants travaux ont été réalisés par l'architecte Bouwens de 1881 à 1889 (adjonction de marquises, ...). De son état initial, l'hôtel a conservé son plan en T, une partie de l'ordonnance des façades et des décors intérieurs. Après la mort de Dom François d'Assise, le château est acheté en 1906 par la commune qui y installe la mairie (décor de la salle du conseil de 1911).

History
Built for the marquis of Terrail between 1756 and 1760, this townhouse was occupied by Dom François of Assisi of Bourbon, king of Spain in exile at the end of the 19th century. Significant works were carried out by the architect Bouwens from 1881 to 1889 (addition of canopies, ...). From its initial state, the townhouse has retained its T-shaped plan, part of the arrangement of the façades and interior décors. After the death of Dom François of Assisi, the château was purchased in 1906 by the commune which installed the town hall there (décor of the council chamber of 1911).
