Historique
Le château des Granges fut bâti vers 1770. Il s'agit d'un bâtiment très caractéristique des domaines campagnards de la deuxième moitié du 18ème siècle (plan très simple, construction en moellons et briques). Un parc «à la française» entourait l'édifice, dont subsiste aujourd'hui la grande allée venant du village et conduisant à une cour verte à l'avant des douves. Le reste du parc a été transformé, au début du 19ème siècle, en parc paysager. Toute la partie arrière a été convertie en sous-bois traversé d'allées sinueuses encore visibles à ce jour. Du château du 18ème siècle subsiste la glacière, protégée par un tertre en terre. La salle voûtée est préservée de même que le puits. Les murs de clôture de l'ancien potager entourent un grand pré. La ferme demeure présente bien que transformée au 19ème siècle par la destruction de certains bâtiments et l'aménagement d'une aile en écurie, sellerie et remise à voitures.

History
The château des Granges was built around 1770. It is a building very characteristic of country estates of the second half of the 18th century (very simple plan, construction in rubble stone and bricks). A "formal" park surrounded the building, of which today subsists the large avenue coming from the village and leading to a green courtyard in front of the moat. The rest of the park was transformed, at the beginning of the 19th century, into a landscape park. The entire rear part was converted into woodland crossed by winding paths still visible to this day. From the 18th-century château subsists the ice-house, protected by an earth mound. The vaulted room is preserved as is the well. The enclosure walls of the former vegetable garden surround a large meadow. The farm remains present although transformed in the 19th century by the destruction of certain buildings and the arrangement of a wing as stable, saddlery and coach-house.
